Death of Club Member

John Humphrey

It is with great sadness and sorrow that I advise all Members of the death of former player, captain, youth coach, Club Captain, Club stalwart and Vice President, John Humphrey, who died yesterday (Sunday 13th. January 2019).

John – or more affectionally known as ‘Humpty’ or ‘Humpo’ – was, for many decades, the life and soul of the cricket club with his warmth towards people, his friendship, his unmistakable laughter and sense of humour. Many, many people will have fond memories of him. It is a great loss.

The Club’s passes its heartfelt thoughts and condolences to his wife, Brenda, and his two sons Andrew and Stephen, at this most difficult and upsetting time for them.

I shall advise Members, in due course, of further information.

Andy Smith
Hon. Secretary
