Former Player finally hangs up his cricketing whites

It is with sadness that the Club has been advised that George Griggs, a former Club Member and Player, has died recently, aged 87 years old.

George was a former top order batsman at the Club in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s and maybe remembered by some from those years. He is part of the Club’s history and part of our family.

His funeral will be held on Monday 26th. March with the ‘liquid’ Celebration of his Life being held at the Clubhouse afterwards from 12.15.

Members are invited to attend the Club and raise a glass or two in his memory, as they did in “The Old Days”!

The Club passes on its condolences to George’s family at this sad time.
