JUNIOR CRICKET DETAILS FOR 2021
Kenilworth Cricket Club holds group junior coaching sessions, the details of which vary dependent on age group.
Outdoor group cricket coaching in the Spring / Summer months is at Kenilworth Cricket Club, Warwick Road, Kenilworth, CV8 1FE and is for children in Reception to Year 10. All outdoor group cricket coaching is on either a Tuesday or Wednesday evening or Sunday morning, whilst for Years 10 and 11 cricket sessions are on a Monday evenings.

Monday evening cricket (School Years 10 and 11 – U15 and U16)
Coaching for Years 10 and 11 will be on a Monday evening starting Monday 5th April 2021 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. The last session will be Monday 19th July 2021 and there will be no coaching in half term week. (Cost £85 per child – it is expected that each attendee will have their own kit).
Tuesday evening cricket (Reception to Year 9 – up to U14)
Group coaching starting on Tuesday 20th April 2021 until Tuesday 20th July 2021 excluding half term week.
Reception to School Year 4 – softball cricket only – 4.45-5.45pm (cost £50 per child – kit that is required will be provided by the club).
School Year 3 to School Year 6 – softball/hardball cricket mix – 6-7pm (cost £85 per child – it is expected that each attendee will have their own kit).
School Year 7 to School Year 9 – hardball cricket only – 7-8pm (cost £85 per child – it is expected that each attendee will have their own kit).
We will endeavour to ensure those attending the 6-7pm and 7-8pm session are invited to play in our age group sides against external opposition. Please though note that all external games are hardball so we will not select anyone to play until they are ready to play hardball cricket against another club.
Teams and Games
We have entered the U9 pairs (Year 3 and 4), U11 pairs (Year 5 and 6), U12 pairs (Year 7), U14 11-a-side (Year 8, 9 and 10) and U16 11-a-side leagues (Year 9, 10 and 11). U11 pairs games will be played on Sunday mornings and U12 girls are eligible to play in those fixtures. U16 games are fixed date Fridays. The remainder are random dates. No Year 2 downwards may play in a hardball fixture.
There are no match fees for junior games.
How to register?
Payments are made through Teamer for the Monday/Tuesday session. If you are new please text Jane on 07787 343056 with child’s name and the session of interest and your e-mail address and she will add you to our juniors Teamer account so you can register.
All signing up are consenting to being part of our track and trace system. Full contact details (plus any health issues coaches need to be aware of) will be required and these plus signatures on consent forms will need to be provided at our first session (in a Covid secure manner!)

Other opportunities – All Stars and Dynamos
We are not running All Stars in the 2021 season.
We are though running Dynamos and all those from aged 6+ to aged 11 may participate in the Dynamos courses. Spaces will be limited on these courses for the time being as we are endeavouring to keep below 30 active participants – equivalent to 24 players, 4 umpires and 2 coaches.
The Dynamos courses are as follows:

Please note that if you are signing up to more than one Dynamos course these prices include the cost of a Dynamos shirt. I would assume you only want one shirt so please text me BEFORE registering if you are planning to attend two or more Dynamos courses. I will then endeavour to send you a separate link when you tell me the combination you are looking to do and you will then only receive one shirt and have a £15 reduction off the total cost.
Dynamo courses will be softball. Dynamos courses involve coaching and match play based upon the Hundred format.
Other information
All outdoor group cricket coaching is held at Kenilworth Cricket Club, Warwick Road, Kenilworth, CV8 1FE on either a Monday evening, Tuesday evening or Sunday morning.
Parents are responsible for the supervision of their own child whilst they are participating in all junior cricket activities and at the club.
Our emphasis in all our coaching is on fun and keeping everyone active.
Outdoor Coaching will be cancelled in inclement weather. There are no refunds for either cancelled or missed sessions. Where possible you will be informed by e-mail to the e-mail address you provide at registration if the session is cancelled for weather reasons on either a Tuesday evening or Sunday morning provided you have accepted an invitation to join Teamer.
KCC reserve the right to ask your child to cease attending coaching sessions at any time in the event he/she is disrupting the coaching session.
Children may only attend the group session they sign up to at the start of the season.
