The Kenilworth 1’s recorded a fine 5 wicket win with two balls of the match remaining at Olton after successfully chasing down their 204-9. Neil Goodman did the damage with the ball claiming 4-39 off 15 good overs, whilst Imran Khan snapped up 2-36 and youngster Phil Edmonds 2-67 as Mike Watts claimed two stumpings and a run out behind the sticks. Both Joseph and Groucott each made 37 for Olton. In reply, Dave Edmunds led from the front to hit a super 73 off 104 balls hitting 10 boundaries in the process. He was out in 26th over with the score on 108. James Nason then made 30 and Gregg Peebles 27 before Goodman saw Kenilworth home in the final over with his chanceless unbeaten 40 as the side reached 205-5. Karim was the most successful Olton bowler taking 3-45.
