Town’s Dave Edmunds was in sublime form as he led the Town 1’s to an 8 wicket win against Birmingham League outfit, Attock, in their Warwickshire Sunday League Division 1 clash. The match doubled up as the League Cup semi -final, meaning that the Town will once again contest the Final later on in the season. Edmunds made a brilliant 113 not out off 99 balls chasing down Attock’s total of 196-8. He hit 5 boundaries and 6 stunning sixes in his magnificent knock and shared in a 88 run 1st wicket partnership with Rupesh Sarvankar 26 and then a 95 run 2nd wicket partnership with Gregg Peebles 36 as the side reached 197-2 with 2 overs to spare. Earlier, Khan made 50 and Kharan 33 for Attock as Joe Haynes took a fine 3-33 with the ball for the Town and James Nason 2-34 whilst Sarvankar, Khan and Roger Kelsey chipped in with a wicket each, however the day belonged to Edmunds with his superb match winning innings.
