Despite posting 236-7 Kenilworth lost out to Birmingham League outfit, Harborne, by 3 wickets who reached the target with 2 overs to spare in this high scoring Warwickshire Sunday League clash. Kenilworth had Gregg Peebles 47 (7 boundaries and a six) and James Nason 26 who shared in a 96 run first wicket partnership, Dave Edmunds 31, colt Adam Huxford 29 and Chris Prophet 27 to thank for posting their score with Sen 2-31 and Yates 2-37 the most successful of the 7 Harborne bowlers used. It was Harborne’s Howard with an unbeaten 79 off 88 balls who guided the side to victory and 237-7 with 13 balls to spare after Arnold had earlier posted 53 despite the best efforts of Peebles who took 3-59. There was a wicket a piece for Jack and Pat Howard, Jaesh Naik and Geoff Edmunds butthere efforts were in vain.
