The Firsts still waiting for their first win of the season.

1st XI v. Ambleside

On Saturday 20th May Kenilworth hosted Ambleside for their Warwickshire Cricket League Division One fixture.

Because of the morning rain,  the match was reduced to 37 overs a side game. Kenilworth were asked to bat first and were soon struggling at 39 for 2 in the 14th over. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, and the side slipped further to 68 for 5 then 87 for 7. Only opening bat Adie Sellar with 39 and Tom Booker with 28 not out made any score of note, as Kenilworth only managed to post 112 for 7 from their 37 overs. Healey with 2 for 10, Kalifay 2 for 19 and Davies 2 for 20 restricted the home side to their below par total.
 
Ambleside made a strong start to their reply, moving to 76 for 1, but four quick wickets reduced the visitors to 87 for 5, as seamer Ian Baker with 3 for 27 briefly gave the home side hope. However, Ambleside knocked off the remaining runs required with out further loss, finishing on 115 for 5 to win by five wickets and eleven overs to spare.
 
Other wicket takers for Kenilworth were Jorjeet Singh 1 for 12 and Chris Prophet with 1 for 43,Stevens with 28 top scoring for the visitors.
