The home side won the toss and asked Kenilworth to bat first. Openers, skipper Pete Magafas and Connor Shingler were looking for a positive start to their side’s innings, but Magafas fell in the first over, caught and bowled by Bentley for no score, the visitors off to the worst start, 0 for 1. Adie Sellar was in at three, he and Shingler started to repair the early loss, but in the seventh over, Sellar was stumped off Bashir for 10, Kenilworth 18 for 2. Bashir taking 5 for 11 and Bentley with 3 for 14 for Blossomfield.
