Skipper Dave Edmunds led the Town 1’s to victory as the side notched up their first League win of the season as they chased down Solihull Blossomfield’s score of 160. Edmunds was in total command with the bat as he hit 10 boundaries and 2 sixes in his 115 ball innings as the Town won by 7 wickets and some 10 overs to spare as they reached 163-3. He was the last wicket to fall on 157 as he tried to make it to three figures but was bowled on 98. Neil Goodman added 26. Earlier, the Town bowlers were on song as the quartet of youngster Phil Edmonds took 3-42, Charlie Leonard 3-47, Goodman 2-26 and Gregg Peebles 2-37. Despite 62 from Bashir and Bevins 48 the rest of the Solihull team were no match for the Town outfit.
