Saturday 1st XI v Nuneaton – 01/06/2013

Kenilworth Lose

Despite a superb century from skipper, Dave Edmunds, Kenilworth 1st XI suffered last over misery in their Warwickshire Cricket League Premier Division clash when Nuneaton sneaked past the winning post with 5 balls of the match remaining. Edmunds hit 104 out of the side’s 191-8 smashing 6 sixes and 8 boundaries in his 91 ball innings after the side had being at 26-3 in the stand out innings for Kenilworth. He and Chris Prophet 33 put 90 runs on for the 4th wicket to post a decent total. McNeil took 4-44, Rice 2-55 and Taplin 1-46 for Nuneaton with the ball before Rice went onto make 64 with the bat and Taplin 28 as Nuneaton made 195-6 despite wickets from Gregg Peebles, Ed Ruswa, Tom Pope, Hitesh Moorthy and Edmunds.
