14/04/2013: Sunday 1st XI v Wellesbourne

Match Abandoned

Rain caused the match to be abandoned at tea after Wellesbourne, who had won the toss reaped up an impressive 280-3 from their allocation of 40 overs. Connor Green hit a super 100 before retiring out, David Barnett 51, Harry Jakeman 41 whilst Jamie Maynard added 36 as they took advantage of a weakened Kenilworth bowling attack who were struggling with the very windy conditions. The only successes with the ball were colt George Webb with 1-39, Jae Naik 1-36 courtesy of a sharp stumping from stand-in keeper, Chris Prophet, whilst Club debutant, Ed Ruswa was unlucky to end with 1-72 and claim his first wicket for the Club, figures that do not justify his obvious talent.
