05/08/2012: Sunday 2nd XI v Harborne

The 2’s match was reduced to 20 overs per side but the Town won by 33 runs. The Town batting was led by skipper Mark Deeley who made 44 hitting 4 boundaries whilst the star of the day was colt Tom Pope who made his maiden Senior half century with a solid 54 hitting four boundaries. Pope then went on to claim 3-39 as Uppoor and Davenport both made 37 each for Harborne but their innings fell away with the introduction of slow spinner Roger Kelsey who ripped through the mid order and tail to take 6-23 off his 5 overs to leave Harborne on 113-9 when the overs ran out.
