A Kenilworth Sunday XI had a comfortable win over Coventry Ramblers after posting 230-8 off their 40 overs. Opener Chris Prophet hit a solid 80, smashing 10 boundaries as he shared in a 101 run 6th wicket partnership with Rupesh Sarvankar who went onto hit 87 as he hit 7 boundaries and 4 sixes. Colt Danny Boneham chipped in 13 as Sharma took 2-24 and Thomas 2-45 for the Ramblers. There was a wicket each for father and son bowlers, Steve and Terry Hall. In reply, Ramblers could only muster 136-10 against a very tidy bowling and fielding performance buoyed by the youngsters in the side. Ben Taylor took 1-20 and Theo McBrien 1-14 whilst Matt Bolshaw celebrated with 3-40 and veteran Andy Smith took 3-35. Sarvankar showed his fielding prowess and his rapid arm with two stunning run outs whilst former Oxbridge Blue, Peter Huxford, claimed a stumping and a catch behind the sticks with son Adam taking a good outfield catch. Croston hit 43, Thomas 19, Sharma 18 and Minhas 18 for the Ramblers in an entertaining game.
