2’s draw their last away game of the League season

2nd XI v. Ansley

In another run fest of 546 runs scored on the day, Kenilworth ‘s 2nd XI had to settle for a comfortable draw at Ansley in their penultimate Division 8 East Warwickshire Cricket League match but still head the Division by 17 points.

Ansley posted an enormous 340-5 thanks to Jakeman 161 and Davies 109 as the pair put on 269 runs for their 3rd wicket. Jakeman hit 15 x 4 and 6 x 6 whilst Davies hit 8 x 4 and 5 x 6. Ryan Bull took a creditable 3-74 for Kenilworth whilst there was a wicket a piece for Max Howard and Geoff Edmunds.

In reply, the 2’s made 206-5 thanks to James Adamson hitting 71, Mike Watts 70 not out and Freddie Davies 28 not out with Bilkas taking 2-16 and Davies 2-35 for the hosts.

The side’s final League game takes place at home next weekend for the side, whilst second placed Attleborough have two games remaining in what is proving to be a tight finish to the season. Kenilworth currently top of the pile by 25 points. C’mon, lads!!
