Kenilworth’s second team travelled to play Leamington Khalsa seconds in Warwickshire Cricket League Division Seven on Saturday 4th August.

Home side Khalsa batted first and their openers got their side off to solid Start, Radgul making 44, number five Mick also chipping in with 30, but Kenilworth kept taking wickets and never let the home side get away, Khalsa were all out on the last of their fifty overs for 202.

The Kenilworth wickets were shared around, Tom Skinner with 2 for 23, Pete Alty and Jaesh Naik both snapping up 2 for 38, Naik answering the call to arms to play his first game of the season. Spinners Chris Beach and Charlie Stranks both having figures of 1 for 25, also two smart run outs saw the visitors completed a decent day in the field.

After the tea interval, the Kenilworth openers Geoff Hay and Elliot Haynes Sorrell put on 31, but both men fell on that score, Hay for 9 and Sorrell making 21. Four more quick wickets left the visitors struggling on 60 for 6 then 77 for 8. Soon after Kenilworth were all out for just 105 in only 29 overs. Number nine Tom Skinner made 16 not out with 4 x 4, James Adamson 12 and Pete Alty with 11, but Kenilworth fell well short, losing by 97 runs, taking just four points. Kash with three wickets and Ragul with two for the home side.
