The 2’s recorded their 2nd win of the weekend after bowling out the hosts for 141 as Geoff Edmunds took a fine 5-15 off 8 overs in their Warwickshire Cricket League Division 7 Bank Holiday Monday encounter at Coleshill.

Edmunds bowled Paul Jones for 44, whilst M. Jones had made 33 and Peachey 23 for Coleshill. Matt Casey took 2-24 off 9.4 overs, Chris Beach 2-39 from his 12 overs and Tom Skinner 1-30. Edmunds snapped up the last 3 wickets to fall with the batsmen making only 0, 2 and 0 as catches were held by the side. There was a stumping for Dan Horner.

In reply, Kenilworth eased to an 8 wicket victory inside 28 overs as Elliott Haynes-Sorrell hit an unbeaten 59 (7 x 4) and Casey 34 not out (6 x 4) shared in a 81 run winning partnership after opener Horner had posted 30 (4 x 4). Denham and Islam took a wicket each for Coleshill.

The win, the 7th of the season, consolidates their mid table position
