Hunningham 1sts. proved far too strong for the Kenilworth 2nds. as they ran out easy 8 wicket winners in the WCCL South East Group C mini-League match.
Kenilworth could only muster 95 in 36.2 overs and this was thanks in the main to skipper, Sam Leach, who hit 41 with 8 boundaries after Mark Stranks had earlier hit 13 but they were the only players to reach double figures. Munday took 3-10 from his fine and frugal 9 overs whilst there was a brace of wickets for Hunningham’s Canning, Sanghera and 2-5 from Bird in his 9 tight overs, whilst King picked up the other one to fall.
Hunningham easily reached the winning line and 97-2 inside 23 overs with Kenilworth’s spinner, Tom Skinner, picking up both wickets with 2-26 from his 9 overs.
