Walmley too strong for the Club 2nd XI

WALMLEY WIN BY 95 RUNS

Walmley proved too strong for the Kenilworth second string in their 40 over a side friendly clash as they posted a stiff 285-4. Kayaim hit 69, Harper 49, Fazal 46, Buckley 40 and Hill 35 not out as they showed early season form for the hosts. Geoff Edmunds picked up 1-25 for the Kenilworth side whilst Ali Peebles and Sam Leach also took a wicket a piece. In reply, Kenilworth posted 190-4 with Anthony Kerry making 46 from the opening berth hitting 6 boundaries, Leach made 41 hitting 8 fours whilst colt Danny Boneham made his maiden Senior half century a fluent 50 not out smashing 10 boundaries and colt Freddie Davies 28, 24 of which came in boundaries but their efforts were in vain as the side fell 95 runs short and ended the day on 190-4 against a very strong Walmley side as Henderson claimed 2-39, Kyani 1-17 and Buckley 1-38 for the hosts.
