3rd XI v Warwick

All the 5’s – 5 wicket win in 5th victory on the 5th July

Kenilworth romped to a 5 wicket win against Warwick and  notch up their 5th consecutive Cotswold Hill Cricket League victory that moved the team to the top of the Division and remain the Club’s most successful side of the season. Warwick were skittled out for 99 as they were unable to cope with the strong and youthful Town bowling attack that saw starlet Ryan Bull take 3-9 from his 5 frugal overs, Charlie Curtis 2-37 and Danny Boneham 1-14 from his 6 overs whilst old stagers skipper  Sam Leach and Ed Smith shared the other wickets to fall. In reply, the side easily chased down the target after  Vish Bora opening set them on the path to victory as he hit 38 with  3 boundaries and a six whilst Boneham chipped in with a solid 25 with 3 boundaries. It was then  left to the impressive youngster Freddie Davies to bring the game to a close with a 6 as he made an unbeaten 26 as he guided the side to 101-5. His delightful innings saw him also hit 4 boundaries in a day that belonged to Kenilworth.
