Sunday XI v. Coventry Ramblers

Kenilworth Sunday side entertained Coventry Ramblers on sunny Sunday May 7th.

Kenilworth chose to bat first, after an early loss, Nathan Chant joined Tom Booker, the pair adding a fine partnership of 84 for the second wicket, before Chant fell to an unlucky run out for 27, Booker went on to make a very fine 85 his innings containing ten boundary fours and one maximum. After he was out, Kenilworth lost a flurry of wickets, only other batsmen to make double figures were Jorjeet Singh and Jack Howard with 13 each and number ten Andy Dadswell with 10. Minhas with an amazing 4 for 5 and P.Dinning with 3 for 31 doing the damage, Kenilworth finishing on 187 all out in the 37th over.
 
 The visitors started their reply in a positive manner, reaching 38 without loss, but the guile of Ali Peebles with 2 for 31 off eight overs, reduced the Ramblers to 43 for 3. As wickets continued to fall, the run rate slowed, the visitors fell short of their target, finishing on 135 for 9. Other wicket takers were Jorjeet Singh with 3 for 4, Geoff Edmunds 1 for 4, Matt Dadswell 1 for 24 off eight tidy overs, Tom Skinner 1 for 27 also off eight overs and Jack Howard 1 for 29. Morgan with 30 and Sharma 20 for the visitors. 
 
Kenilworth winning by 52 runs.
