Young Horner guides side home to victory after bowlers’ fine efforts

The Kenilworth Sunday XI enjoyed a 3 wicket win in their 40 overs a side friendly match against Southam who had posted 198-9 thanks to Wilkins hitting 65, Williams 51, Thornton 27 and Preston 26. Kenilworth’s bowlers were on song as youngster Ryan Bull snapped up a fine 4-44 whilst Jorjeet Singh took a haul of 4-30 whilst Charlie Stranks chipped in with a wicket. In reply, Kenilworth reached 199-9 with  3 overs to spare thanks to the efforts of youngster Dan Horner who guided the side home with a fine unbeaten 61 after Ian Summers had earlier made 41 and Chris Prophet 34 as the wickets were shared around by the Southam bowlers.
