Saturday 3rd XI v Kenilworth Wardens 4th XI – 08/06/2013

Kenilworth 3rds celebrated their first Cotswold Hills League victory with a two wicket success at neighbours Kenilworth Wardens 4ths. Fine bowling from Chris Beach 4-13, Jack Howard 3-19 and George Webb 2-19 restricted Wardens to 144 for 9. Skipper Andy Dadswell 47, Josh Palmer 23 and Nigel Thompson 21 helped Kenilworth edge to 145 for 8 with seven overs to spare.

Saturday 3rd XI v Badsey 2nd XI – 18/05/2013

Kenilworth’s Ed Smith’s 55 was the highlight of the side’s innings as they posted 125 all out against a tidy Badsey bowling attack. He blasted 11 boundaries and a six. Colt Josh Palmer showed his quality with a fine 27, 24 runs coming from boundaries whilst Sam Leach 12 was the only other batsman to reach double figures. Badsey wobbled at 8-3 before Andrew steadied the side and went onto hit 69. Knight led them to victory and 126-5 as he ended the day on 22 not out. Leach took 2-20, whilst Smith, colt Ryan Bull and Indy Matharu a wicket each for Kenilworth.
