Covid-19 (coronavirus) update

Remaining Indoor Winter Cricket Nets cancelled

Due to the current Covid-19 (coronavirus) health crisis, the remaining indoor winter cricket nets have been cancelled, with immediate effect.

Finham Park 2 school and Sports hall is now closed.

The ECB has also recommended suspension of all recreational cricketing activity by Clubs until advised otherwise.

We shall, of course, be adhering to that request for the health and safety of our Players and Members.

There will be no formal training evenings when outdoor nets were due to start next month, nor any net sessions and other cricketing  activities held by the Club at this time, nor will there be until we have further clarity.

However, until advised otherwise, Ground work continues to be undertaken by individuals to ensure that the Club is “up and running” and ready for when the time comes to resume cricketing activities.

I shall keep all Members updated as to any developments, as and when I can.

We, as a Club, are carefully monitoring the situation.

In the meantime, remain and continue to be careful, be sensible and most importantly, please adhere to and heed the Government advice and instructions for your own safety on the current health crisis. Follow it.

Stay safe.

Andy Smith, Hon. Secretary, KCC
