Sunday 1st XI v Knowle & Dorridge – 19/05/2013

Kenilworth Lose

A century from Dave Edmunds was not enough to inspire reigning champions Kenilworth to victory as Knowle and Dorridge eased to their target with 5 overs of the match remaining in their first Warwickshire Sunday League Division 1 clash of the season. Edmunds hit 7 boundaries and sixes in his knock of 100 that saw Kenilworth post 210-6 with James Nason hitting 34 and Gregg Peebles 21. K & D’s Wells took 3-34, Kerry 2-2 and the other wicket to fall was claimed by Jones. In reply, K & D had their overseas player Hendriks to thank to leading them past the winning post as he hit a classy unbeaten 106 as they reached 211-6 off 34.5 overs. His innings saw 14 boundaries and a six. Baher added 35 and Sale hit 22. Harding was 13 not out as K & D paced the match to perfection.
