Kenilworth entertained Lichfield Nomads in a 40 overs a side friendly on Sunday.

KENILWORTH WIN BY 153 RUNS

Kenilworth 253-3 (40 overs) beat Lichfield Nomads 100-10 (26.1 overs) by 153 runs.

 

Kenilworth batted first and posted a solid 253-3 with Dhruv Vyas hitting an excellent and hard hitting unbeaten 87 (7 x 4, 4 x 6) as he shared in a 110 runs 4th. wicket partnership with Matt Casey who went onto make an unbeaten 68 (7 x 4, 2 x 6). Youngster Joe Tait made a solid 35 sharing in a 89 runs 3rd. wicket partnership with Casey after Dan Horner had earlier made 37. Lee was the pick of the Nomads bowling taking 2-19 off his 8 overs whilst Cogzeu took the other wicket to fall.

In reply, Nomads struggled with the bat with only Mahmood who hit 52 (5 x 4, 2 x 6) reaching double figures. All 7 Town bowlers used picked up a wicket with Arun taking 2-16, Tom Skinner 2-21 with a wicket each for Matt Dadswell, Tom Best, Sam Leach, Sam Ward and Louis Smithson with Casey taking a brace of catches as Nomads were bowled out for 100 inside 27 overs.
