Arden Sunday League Division 3
40 overs a side

WIN

Corley 111-10 (32.5 overs) lost to Kenilworth 112-1 (28.3 overs) by 9 wickets

Kenilworth started their Arden Sunday League campaign with a comprehensive 9 wicket win at their Warwick Road ground after bowling visitors, Corley, out for 111. Only Falconer 27 (3 x 4, 1 x 6), Khan 25 (6 x 4), Parker 19 and Blowers with 11 managed to reach double figures for Corley as the side struggled against an on song Kenilworth bowling line up. Young leg spinner, Dan Roden, was the side’s pick taking a frugal 2-8 off 4.5 overs. Will Machin took 2-13, Darius Potten-Ravenshad 2-29 whilst Matt Casey and Keeran Umashanker took a wicket each.

In reply, Kenilworth cantered to a comfortable win as openers Dan Horner and Adam Huxford put on a 100 together for the first wicket before Huxford was cruelly run out for 49 after hitting 3 boundaries and two 6’s. Horner remained unbeaten on 48 (4 x 4) as he and Henry Curran 3 not out saw the side to 112-1 inside 29 overs to kick off their Sunday League in winning ways.
