Kenilworth 185-1 (33 overs) beat Peopleton 184-10 (36.3 overs) by 9 wickets.
The Sunday XI cruised to a solid win over Worcestershire based Peopleton in their 40 overs a side friendly at our Warwick Road Ground. The visitors had posted 184 with Gurr and Lam both hitting 35, Gordon 33 not out and Cliff 28 as Town’s bowlers Matt Dadswell, Keeran Umashanker, Shyaan Imam and Joe Tate each took 2 wickets and Matthew Page one with the other to fall courtesy of a run out. In reply, the Town’s top order were on song with the bat, as Adam Huxford made 56 (5 x 4, 1 x 6) partnering Imam who went onto to make a fine unbeaten 65 (4 x 4) with fellow weekend birthday boy, Louis Smithson 50 not out (8 x 4) as they put on a match winning unbroken 2nd. wicket partnership of 111 to see the side home to 185-1 with 7 overs spare, after Huxford and Imam had earlier put on 74 for the first wicket.
