One draw, one defeat
Two League matches for the 1st. XI and 2nd. XI with Divisional Title winners, the 3rd. XI having ended their League campaign last week. The 1sts. clung on to draw their match and with it Olton blew their outside chances of lifting the Division 1 title, whilst the 2nds. surprisingly lost to relegation threatened Oakfield and Rowlands. Only two matches of the 2021 WCCL season now remain for both sides.
1st XI
Kenilworth v. Olton & West Warwickshire
Warwickshire Cricket League Division 1 – W/L/D – 50 overs a side

Olton & WW 273-4 dec. (17 points) (48 overs) drew with Kenilworth 119-8 (3 points) 52 overs.
Kenilworth clung on to draw their match at Olton and end the hosts their outside possibility of lifting the Divisional title as they ended the day on 119-8 after Olton had posted 273-4 declaring after their 48th. over following an unbeaten century from Marc Webb 122 not out (15 x 4, 3 x 6) as he shared in a 4th. wicket partnership of 139 with Arwand Barnard 52 (8 x 4). There was a wicket a piece for Kenilworth bowlers, Darius Potten-Ravenshad, Matt Casey and Jono Sparks. In reply, Kenilworth were never going to reach the set target. Pat Howard hit 23 and Chris Prophet 19 whilst George Baines frustrated Olton’s effort with an obdurate unbeaten 19 from his 123 ball innings. Kenilworth then lost three quick wickets with the score on 106 but managed to survive and end the day on 119-8 from 52 overs – much to the frustrations of Olton, after Philip Trilloe had taken 4-25 and Hayden Burke 2-11 from his 11 overs for the hosts.
2nd XI
Kenilworth v. Oakfield & Rowlands
Warwickshire Cricket League – Division 7 East – W/L/D – 50 overs a side
LOSE
Oakfield & Rowlands 131-8 (24 points) (50 overs) beat Kenilworth 99-10 (3 points) (42 overs) by 32 runs.
The 2nd. XI lost their match by 32 runs after restricting Oakfield to 131-8 in their innings after Ben Clark had taken 3-23, 2-22 from Dave Gamble with Tom Skinner, Matt Dadswell and Sam Leach claiming a wicket each after Hill had made 32, Pinipitiga 31 and Mobbs 22 for the visitors. Despite a solid 39 from Dave Smithson, 19 from Clarke and 15 from Shayaan Imam 15, no other Town batsmen made double figures and their innings fell away and the side was bowled out for only 99. Naratanga took 4-21, Robinson 2-21 and Klaeson 2-25 for the visitors and their win eases their relegation fears.

Sunday 1st XI
Kenilworth v. King’s Heath
Arden Sunday League – Division 3 – 40 overs a side – W/L
LOSE
King’s Heath 136-10 (20 points) (37.5 overs) beat Kenilworth 78-10 (5 points) (34.3 overs) by 58 runs.
King’s Heath’s 136-10 turned out to be 58 runs too many as Kenilworth were bowled out for 78 chasing. Jak Ellis had made 38, Ayman Jaffer 25 and number 11, Waleed Farooq 21 not out in King’s Heath’s total after Matt Dadswell, Shyaan Imam, Tom Best and Louis Smithson had each taken a brace of wickets with Josh Charlwood and Kapil Dubey picking up one each. Kenilworth never recovered from 0-2 and their woes continued despite a solid 32 (6 x 4) from Andy Dadswell and 12 from Vik Joshi but they were the only two to reach double figures as the side was skittled out for only 78 with Chad Atkinson taking 4-12, Arjun Joravoor 3-20 and Hayan Jaffer 2-3 for the hosts.
