Standard 146-10 (41.5 overs) 20 points beat Kenilworth 111-10 (36.5 overs) 5 points by 35 runs.

Kenilworth had a disastrous batting collapse as they lost their last 5 wickets in 11 balls whilst adding only 1 run to remarkably lose the match by 35 runs when on course to reach the Standard total of 146 when Standard’s Tom Kidd ripped through the tail taking 4 wickets in 5 balls – three in one part over to suddenly end the game in the 37th. over.

Standard themselves had been earlier bowled out in the 42nd. over as Kenilworth’s Joe Atkinson took a career best 5-15 from his 9 overs – his first ever 5 wicket haul, Darius Potten-Ravenshad 2-24 and a wicket each for Steve Rhodes and Jack Howard in a solid bowling display that saw Standard lose their last 7 wickets for 26 runs after opener Ryan Leybourne had made 52 and Kidd 33 with the bat.

Chasing, Kenilworth reached 94-4 with Dan Horner unbeaten on 22 after Connor Shingler had made 20 and Tom Booker 17 before they both fell but the side were still on course to win. However, when Horner fell after making 29 that all changed and the wheels fell off the side’s innings with the re-introduction of Kidd and his amazing match winning spell to end the day  taking 5-24 from his 6.4 overs. Vijay Patel took 2-16, Andrew Fox and Spencer Sawbridge one a piece but the day belonged to Kidd for his all round performance and one to forget for Kenilworth, apart for Atkinson.
