Stockton Star 286-8  (45 overs) (20 points) beat Kenilworth 2’s 141-5 (45 overs) (5 points) by 145 runs

 

Stockton Star again proved too strong for a mixed 2nd. XI Kenilworth side as they posted a huge 286-8 from their 45 overs with Ahmed making 68, Narvellar 66, Gurps 55 not out and 30 from Ritesh despite the best efforts of Christian Mortlock who took 3-72, Dan Roden 2-66 with a wicket each for Mark Stranks, Matt Dadswell and Dave Gamble. Vic Joshi took two good stumpings behind the sticks.

Replying, Kenilworth were never going to reach the target but faced their 45 overs to post 141-5 with Dave Smithson top scoring with an unbeaten 43 (5 x 4), Roden 26 not out (3 x 4) after Pete Huxford had earlier made 18 and Yash Joshi 11 as Ahmed took 1-27, Satish 1-10 and Ritesh 1-3 with the two wickets to fall by the way of run outs. The day belonged to a strong Stockton Star side.
