Junior Coaching 2025

We are very much looking forward to seeing you all at our outdoor training sessions commencing after Easter. Coaching will be at Kenilworth CC, Warwick Road, Kenilworth, CV8 1FE.

To attend our outdoor coaching sessions you will need to register by completing the registration form. The registration form is accessible by the link below.

Please do indicate on the form the session you wish to register your child for.

Those registering for softball cricket do not need to bring any kit to sessions but should ensure they wear sporty clothing and trainers. If children have their own bat they are very welcome to bring it with them to use.

All those registering for hardball cricket though will need to have their own hardball equipment – bat, helmet, pads, gloves, abdominal guard as a minimum. Club kit will not be available to borrow at matches.

The club has entered the U9 softball tournament competition, and our U9, U10, U11, U12 and U13 teams will be playing in hardball pairs leagues. We will in addition have a team playing in the U12 and U14 development 11 a side leagues as well as the U13 girls only hardball league and ladies softball league.

Please note that training and matches will be cancelled in inclement weather and if you have downloaded the Teamer App we will endeavour to advise you of cancellations via the App.

I will circulate a payment request for the session you have registered for over the Easter holidays.

Places at our coaching sessions are limited. A couple of age groups will note that they have a choice of training time. The purpose of this is simply to ensure the children who wish to play hardball cricket are spread out in certain popular age groups as we do only have two outdoor nets – there is no difference between the groups. Spaces are available in all groups shown on the registration form. Once a session is full, it will simply disappear from the registration form and it will not be possible to register for that session.

If you have a friend who would like to register please just forward this information on to them. I will add them to Teamer when I receive their registration form.

The training times are summarised below. Registration for Sunday morning All Stars and Dynamos will need to occur through the ECB website and this is not yet live as they have been upgrading their site over the winter.

We have moved the girls only/ladies training to Thursday evening. This is to enable the girls/ladies to have access to the nets on a weekly basis and I do appreciate this will not be convenient for all. Girls may of course register for the mixed sessions but, if doing this for hardball cricket, please do consult with me first, so we can together select a suitable compatible group.

We will be holding Easter and Summer holiday courses on certain days and details of these will be circulated separately when the arrangements have been finalised.

The club is also just finalising arrangements with a clothing kit supplier and a separate communication will be sent round for those interested in purchasing club branded clothing in due course.

Best wishes

Jane
