Sunday Smash round 2

Dorridge visited Kenilworth for the second round of the Sunday Smash and won the toss choosing to bowl.

Kenilworth found scoring difficult as the visitors took wickets at regular intervals through the innings, with only 3 batters making double digits. Dan Horner opening with 16, but it was middle order hitting from Quinn Bungard (51) that took the hosts to a respectable target of 108/8 from their 100, as Matt Casey finished 10*. Abdal Khan taking 3/18 with Ryan Chahal and James Driscoll each taking 2 wickets.

In the field Tom Skinner struck early for Kenilworth however the progress was short lived as Dorridge saw off the Kenilworth target in just 50 balls. Connor Shingler and Matty Dadswell the other bowlers to strike as the visitors won by 7 wickets with Ashish Chakrapani finishing 47*.

Sunday 11 June Kenilworth visit Olton & West Warwicks Bears in the third week of the Sunday Smash League, 2PM start.
