Sunday Smash Away vs Olton & West Warwicks CC

Olton won the toss and asked Kenilworth to field, the hosts piled on the runs in the sun making 214/2 from their 100 balls. Sam Davies and Chris Prophet the wicket takers.

Chasing over 2 a ball, Keilworth lost wickets regularly with Sam Davies (27*) and Quinn Bungard (14) the top scorers in the chase where the visitors, unfortunately, fell well short, 90 all out.

On a warm Sunday afternoon at Warwick Road, the visitors won the toss and elected to bat first.

Kenilworth made a strong start with the ball, reducing their guests to 31-1. Their were 30’s for Rushton and Beaty before wiley spinner Peter Huxford mopped up the tail, finishing with 3-18. Krishna Alluri and Matty Dadswell taking 2-16 and 2-27 respectively, as ben Kelley and Thomas Best took a wicket a piece for the K’s. Eventually Norton were bowled out for 143.

Kenilworth’s reply was cut short due to lightning in the area, however not before Joe Tate could top score (48) opening the batting with Dhruv Vyas (33) and Dan Horner (22*) taking the side close to their target as they finished 127-4, winning on DLS.
