Saturday 1st XI
The first team travelled to Smethwick CC, where Kenilworth won the toss and elected field.
Smethwick batted extremely well and ended up on 319, eight wickets down before the rain started to fall heavily. Hassan Khan made 117 off 126 and Sajid Kapadia was 61 off of just 54 deliveries before being stumped by Tom Booker. Waj Chohan and Matt Casey both claimed one wicket a piece whilst Henry Curran claimed a 3 fer, alongside Louis Smithson, claiming 3 for 62 off of his 10 overs.
Kenilworth were not given an opportunity to reply as the rain continued to fall. Both teams had to settle for bonus points with the added eight for an abandoned game .
Saturday 2nd XI
For the second game in a row the second eleven hosted Coventry Blues at Warwick Road. The away side won the toss and elected to bat.
Blues made 366 for 7 from their fifty overs, as Jawahar made 74 and Rahul Raj raced to 178 off just 131. Simon Tyler claimed the best figures with 2 for 38, with both Tom Best and Babu also returning two wickets a piece.
In reply, Kenilworth were all out for 139 in the 33rd over as wickets fell regularly. Sarfaz Hussain top scored with 24 from 37. Every Coventry bowler claimed at least one wicket. Nair returned a tidy 2 for 18 and Rahul Raj produced the best figures of the day with 2 for 13.
Kenilworth take 3 points from the game and sit 10th in the division 6 east.
Saturday 3rd XI
The third eleven hosted Temple Grafton, who won the toss and elected to field first.
Mark Wisdish made 71 opening the batting for the home side, whilst second top score was stand in captain Matt Dadswell with 19. Kenilworth eventually finishing 148 all out. Middleton took 3 for 24 for the visitors whilst the best figures went to Paul Rowe with an impressive 4 for 32.
Kenilworth successfully defended their total, Temple Grafton making 125 all out, falling short by 23 runs. Shinde top scored with 29, closely followed by Williams on 23. 4 bowlers took wickets for Kenilworth with Manni Toor claiming 1 and Matt Dadswell and Sam Kingston both taking 2 apiece. However, Ed Smith produced and impressive 5 fer, conceding just 17 runs in the process from 8 overs.
Kenilworth take 19 points and are 8th in Cotswold Hills Division 4.
Sunday XI
Kenilworth hosted Barwell in a Sunday friendly fixture with Barwell winning the toss and electing to bat first.
Barwell made 173 all out with the majority of runs coming from the bat of Tom Middleton, making 104. For Kenilworth, Toor claimed one and Smithson, Farnell and Mandava all returned two wickets each. Neil Keshvala produced the best figures of the 9 bowlers used with 3 for just 14 runs.
In reply, Kenilworth comfortably chased the total 5 down with 7 overs to spare. Louis Smithson made 71 and Adam Huxford was unbeaten on 32, Nahian Syed was one short of Huxford on 31. Hines took the best figures for the visitors with 1 for 23 as Rahim, Richings and Jones also all claimed 1 fer.
