Club History: The 2006 Fire and Rebuilding

Our bar and club room were destroyed by fire in an arson attack in December 2006.

See below for pictures which show the extent of the damage.

Thanks to an amazing fundraising effort from club members, as well as the people of Kenilworth and beyond, we were able to put in place plans to build the new amazing facilities we have today. There is a book of donations held in the cricket club thanking people for their generosity.

We were finally able to have a grand opening of the clubhouse on 26th April 2009, where a Kenilworth Cricket Club XI took on the Chairman’s XI of former players and some famous faces.
