Kenilworth U-15’s v. Dorridge U-15’s
Below is a brief report on the latest Under 15’s match that was played yesterday at Dorridge. The lads won!
KCC U-15’s batted first and posted 101-9. Dan Roden scored 35 not out/retired and there were useful contributions from Charlie Glover, Shyann Imam and Louis Smithson.
In reply, Dorridge were bowled out for 98 with captain James Sparks taking 2-15 and Dan Roden 3-14 whilst there was a wicket a piece from Daniel Barrie 1-14, David Knott 1-18 and Ben Gamble 1-20 as the lads all bowled 4 overs each.
The game went to the final over and the final wicket was from a run out, the second of the Dorridge innings…. Or at least we believe it was as it was so dark at that point that only the players and umpires in the middle could see what was happening! However, it was a very good game played in a very good spirit between both teams and sets of parents and officials. A good batting, fielding and economical bowling performances by the Club’s young guns to earn a good win. Well done all!
