Bablake Old Boys 149-5 (20 overs) beat Kenilworth 128-9 (20 overs) by 21 runs
Kenilworth lost their first round T20 WCCL League Cup match to bow out of the competition following a 21 runs defeat by Bablake Old Boys who had posted 149-5 in their innings thanks to Khan hitting an unbeaten 55, McCallum 36, Azram 20 and Green 19. Connor Shingler took 3-26, Joe Atkinson 1-25 and Jack Howard 1-29 for the Town side.
The Town reply could not have started any worse with a run out with the batsman not even facing a ball in the first over, after a mix up. The side then fell to 4-2 in the second over, then found themselves on 21-3 before Atkinson 38 and Steve Rhodes 43 put on 80 runs together for the 4th. wicket. However, the side was always behind the required run rate and ended the day on 128-9 when their innings finished as Patel took 4-16, Eames 2-22 with a wicket each for Azram and Startup for the Old Boys.
