1st XI Home vs StudleyCC 1st XI
Kenilworth hosted Studley who won the toss and elected to bat.
A few early wickets reduced the visitors to 57-3 but a stand of 99 for the 4th wicket and some smaller partnerships thereafter took Studley to 203-9 off their 50 overs. Kenilworth spread the wickets around with 2 wickets a piece for Chohan, Shingler and Kumar accompanied by wickets each for Rhodes, Lawrence and Bungard. Studley’s opener Williams their largest contributor with the bat scoring 103.
In reply Kenilworth could only manage 116 All out off 28.4 overs. Stu Cope contributed with a busy 42 as wickets fell around him. Studley’s Rhodes took 6-18 with two wickets a piece for Bass and Ahmed.
The 1st XI pick up 4 points and stay 9th.
2nd XI Away vs Fillongley CC 2nd XI
The 2nd XI travelled to Fillongley where they won the toss and elected to field first.
Sam Skelding contributed 68 to the home side with several starts elsewhere. There were two wickets a piece for Casey, Babu, DPR and Skinner, restricting the hosts to 195-8 off their 50 overs.
In reply, Kenilworth stuttered to 30-7 and were eventually bowled out for 119 off 40 overs. Dan Horner dug in for 47 whilst Steve Gardner took 7 wickets for the hosts.
The 2nd XI pick up 3 points and slip to 4th.
3rd XI Away vs Southam CC 2nd XI
The 3rd XI travelled to Southam, won the toss and elected to field.
Tight bowling and wickets to every bowler restricted Southam to just 132 all out off 29 overs. With 3 for Pete Alty and Matt Dadaswell, 2 for Ben Clarke and one a piece for Josh Charlwood and Ben Kelley.
Runs for Mark Stranks (53) and Matt Bain (42no) took Kenilworth to a comfortable 6 wicket win inside 34 overs as they continue their promotion push.
The 3rd XI take 20 points and remain top of the division by 4 points.
